Hey everyone im thomas and i just signed up to this site. Ok i am looking at buying a honda integra type R soon and i was wondering how fast they are down the straight. The vtec kicks in at about 5OOO doesnt it? I just want to get to know a bitt more about the car before i buy it. thanks.

unless you live outside of the u.s. you are going to be buying an ACURA integra type r

these cars aren't straight line beasts...FYI

the 97 type r was rated at 14.7 seconds, while the 2000 type r was rated at 14.9

Ok sweet. Ok thaanx bigmacnfries. Yeh graffiti i live in brisbane in aus. oh so the 97 type r is a bit quicker over the like 01 n 02 models?

the united states only had type r's in 97, 98, 00, and 01.

i'm in New Zealand, so we probably have similar spec cars over here to you - i think the 97 type r is a bit quicker, but am no expert - have a look at this as a start point:

Ok well thanks guys.Yeh i test drove a 99 model one the other day it was pretty quick tho it had a chip in it so gave it a bit more power.

the 01 type r in the states is still a dc2....japan is a dc5 (rsx)
