do you know where millenium motors is at on 11? there used to be an import shop across the road beside that satellite place. solid auto performance i think. like 5 years ago they used to have a cruise in every thursday night. there would be 40-50 people there. it was pretty cool, some people would ride bikes in, do wheelies in the parking lot, burnout contests in the alley and shit. but that only lasted like a year or so. i don't think they have them any more. the only place like that anymore is 1320 racing down in hagerstown, but i heard they suck, and aren't very knowledgable either. we need something.

yeah, solid performance and 1320 motoring...i could give you inside scoop on both shops as i've known both owners and most of the employees they've gone through. but yeah, the cruise in every week was fuckin sweet. i loved it! i was always there as i was friends with all the guys from the shop. but they had management and budgeting issues with the shop so they kinda killed themselves out there. pretty much the same thing can be said for 1320. its a shame really cuz 1320 had shit set for the, especially having and awd dyno! but, neither shop wanted to hire me to run the shop (counter, phones, manage the jobs, etc) or to actually work on the cars. i tried several times with both to tell/show them what they were doin wrong or needed to do to keep faithful business and not fail, of course they didnt listen obviously. BUT, there are two guys i know that are trying to start a shop again where solid used to be. i know the one guy pretty good and im starting to get to know the other guy. prices aren't set, just whatever they feel is fair for the job. they're not trying to make a killing, just trying to help other people out and get the business going so we can have a shop around here again, only reliable and successful this time. as a matter of fact, i am taking my friends ls block out there next week for them to build. doin rods, pistons, bearings, bolts, head studs, block guard, and honing it out all for 150. sounds like a pretty good deal to me considering before that the cheapest price we got was at least 400!! so, we'll see how it goes and if its good, i'll spread the word for people to take work to them...
